Emily Rayner, 20.

From a small, small, very small town, of about 50 people, in Ontario.

Up until recently, I was working towards an Honors Visual Arts degree at Brock University.  However, I pretty quickly realized that University wasn’t for me; too many formalities for my taste. So, I plan to go to college in the fall, for cosmetology, since it’s something I really enjoy, and I anticipate it will be less stressful.

I love humans who have soul. Show me what’s inside of you, and I’ll do the same. I don’t care about which body you’re in; I care about what you say, what you create, what you do, and who you are. I don’t care who you love; I care about how you love. I place great value on a good friend.

The most important thing to me is respect. I respect everyone I come across unless they give me a really good reason to lose it. One of the only ways to make me lose respect for a person is if they themselves are disrespectful. I don’t tolerate any kind of discrimination in my life, and choose to surround myself with people who are accepting and respectful of humans as individuals.

I live by the wise words of Dr. Seuss: Be who you are, and say how you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.

I am what many would call weird, but I prefer that, because I believe that “normal” doesn’t really exist, and if it did, it would most definitely be boring. I wear most anything, and pull off the strangest outfits, simply because I always leave my room comfortable in what I’m wearing. I have way too many clothes to keep track of, and they’re usually the culprit when my room is a mess.

I am an open book, and I trust easily, perhaps to a fault. I’ll do anything for anyone who asks me nicely, and even more for someone who doesn’t ask at all. I’d rather do things for other people than focus on myself, and I’d rather give my money away than keep it.

I love animals, and food, and every kind of music.
My favourite movies are probably musicals, especially old kids’ musicals, like Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Pete’s Dragon.
I’m slightly obsessed with true crime shows, like Forensic Files, and True Crime Scene.
And also, sleep. I really love to sleep.
In my spare time, I like to have deep conversations with friends, or strangers, write poetry, paint, and of course, blog.

I am always willing to talk ;  message me if ever you need anything.

This is the beginning.
This is me.
